Data Deletion Instructions
This page explains how to ask us to delete personal information we hold about you, and what we can and cannot delete. It is also the public User Data Deletion Instructions page for our Meta / Facebook / Instagram business settings.
Best Hair Extensions LLC d/b/a “Andromeda Beauty”
Legal address: 1926 West 11th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11223, United States
Email: office@andromeda-beauty.com
Phone / text: +1 929 551 5170
Applies to: our website and request form, email, text messages, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, chatbot conversations, appointment requests, and salon inquiry records.
1.How to request deletion
Use whichever is easiest for you:
- Email office@andromeda-beauty.com — the subject line “Data Deletion Request” helps us route it faster, but it is not required.
- Message our Instagram or Facebook page and say “Delete my data.” We may ask you to continue by email if we need to verify who you are.
- Call or text +1 929 551 5170.
To help us find your record, please include as much of the following as you can:
- Your full name.
- The phone number and, if any, the email address you used with us.
- Your Instagram, Facebook, or Messenger handle or profile link, if your request concerns social messaging.
- Roughly when you contacted us, visited, or made a purchase.
- Which channel you used — website form, Instagram DM, Messenger, WhatsApp, email, text, phone, or an in-salon visit.
- What you want deleted: for example chatbot messages, consultation photos, an appointment inquiry, marketing contact details, or all eligible personal information.
2.Verification
For your own protection we may need to confirm that you are the person connected to the information before we delete it — usually by confirming control of the phone number, email address, or Instagram / Facebook account tied to the record. We will not ask for unnecessary sensitive information in order to verify a request.
If you are asking on someone else's behalf, we may ask for proof that you are authorized. A parent or legal guardian may submit a request for a minor.
3.What we will delete
Once a request is verified, we delete, de-identify, or restrict the eligible personal information under our control, including:
- Website request-form submissions and appointment inquiry records, including the IP address and browser type stored with them.
- Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, or chatbot conversation records held in our systems.
- Customer-service notes tied to your inquiry, where they are no longer needed.
- Consultation photos, attachments, and hair-preference records that are no longer needed for an appointment, service history, legal, safety, or dispute reason.
- Marketing contact entries and promotional list records we control — except a minimal suppression record, so that we do not add you back.
- Records held in the limited tools we use for website requests and appointment follow-up, including our request database and, where in use, workflow automation.
- AI-assisted drafts or conversation summaries stored in our systems, where they are under our control and no longer needed.
4.What we may need to keep
Deletion rights are not absolute. We may keep certain records where retention is required or permitted by law, or reasonably necessary for legitimate business, legal, security, or operational purposes:
- Transaction, payment, tax, refund, chargeback, and accounting records.
- Records needed to finish an active appointment, order, request, or support matter.
- Records needed to comply with law, respond to legal process, resolve a dispute, enforce an agreement, or protect rights, safety, and property.
- Security and anti-fraud records needed to detect or prevent misuse.
- A minimal suppression record showing that you opted out or asked for deletion, so that your choice is honored.
- Aggregated or de-identified information that no longer reasonably identifies you, such as internal counts of service requests.
- Backup copies, where they exist, until they are overwritten in the ordinary backup cycle.
- Information held by Meta, payment processors, appointment tools, or other third parties outside our direct control.
5.Automatic deletion — you may not need to ask
We do not keep inquiries indefinitely. An automated daily clean-up removes them on the schedule published in our Privacy Policy:
| Record | Deleted automatically |
|---|---|
| Request that did not become an appointment | After 12 months |
| Request marked as spam | After 30 days |
| IP address and browser type stored with a form submission | Erased after 90 days |
| Appointment and service records | Up to 3 years after the last interaction |
6.Meta, Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger data
When you contact us through Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, or WhatsApp, Meta passes us your message content and platform identifiers so that we can reply. After verification we can delete the eligible copies stored in our own systems.
Meta separately controls its own copies, your account data, platform logs, and privacy settings. To delete or manage information held in your Meta, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, or WhatsApp account, use the privacy and account settings that Meta provides.
If we receive a deletion request or deletion notice through Meta's developer tools, we use the app-scoped or page-scoped identifier that Meta provides to locate the eligible records in our systems, delete or de-identify them, and keep a minimal deletion-status record for compliance and audit purposes.
7.How long it takes
- We aim to acknowledge a deletion request within 10 business days.
- We aim to complete a verified request within 30 days.
- If the request is complex, or applicable law allows a different period, it may take up to 45 days or longer where legally permitted. If we need an extension we will tell you.
- Where backups exist, deletion from them follows the normal overwrite cycle, commonly up to 90 days.
8.Confirmation and appeals
After processing your request we will confirm what was deleted, or explain why some information could not be deleted, to the extent the law allows. If applicable law gives you a right to appeal a denial, write to office@andromeda-beauty.com and tell us why you think the decision should be reconsidered. As above, the subject line “Privacy Appeal” is helpful but not required.
9.Stopping messages is not the same as deletion
If you only want us to stop contacting you, you do not need a deletion request: unsubscribe from any promotional email, reply STOP to text messages, adjust your platform notification settings, or simply tell us. We do not send marketing text messages at all — see section 6 of the Privacy Policy. A messaging opt-out does not delete everything, because we keep a minimal record in order to honor it and to meet our business and legal obligations.
10.Public reviews, tags, and social posts
If you posted a public review, tag, comment, or social post, you will usually need to delete it on the platform where you posted it. You can ask us to remove public content that we control — for example a testimonial or a repost on our own website or page — and we will do so within a reasonable time. We cannot remove printed, cached, archived, or third-party copies.
11.Please keep messages free of sensitive data
Do not send Social Security numbers, full payment card numbers, government IDs, passwords, or medical records through our form, email, text, Instagram or Facebook messages, WhatsApp, or a chatbot, unless we have specifically asked for it through an appropriate channel.
